The Cubist angles of this work allow many dimensions of meaning, but one is of the titular figure: her face and resplendent headdress are in motion as she rises to new levels of existence and consciousness. The spirals in the lower half of the painting suggest Keplerian geometries, with the vivid oranges, reds, whites, and blues as continually-rising upwards energy.
